i was thumbing through the interweb the other day, and came across these photos of an exhibit by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei appropriately called Sunflower Seeds.  the exhibit literally featured 100 million porcelain "seeds" hand-painted by artisans and scattered all over the floor of the Tate Modern's Turbine Hall.

first thought, "why?".  second thought, "why not?!".
